Fast Forward: William F. Cody
Curator-Led Museum Talk, Downtown LA
Sunday, September 18, 2016
Last chance before it closes! Don’t miss this opportunity to tour the exhibit Fast Forward: the Architecture of William F. Cody with its curators Emily Bills, PhD and Jo Lauria at the A+D Museum in downtown Los Angeles.
SAH/SCC has arranged private access to the museum for this behind-the-scenes look at the modern designs of Bill Cody that extend beyond Palm Springs to Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Mexico, Honduras and Cuba. Cody is regarded as a forward-thinking, urbane architect who merged luxury with technology to achieve a high-style experimental modernism. He was also a master renderer and the exhibit features fifteen of his best projects.
Emily Bills PhD teaches at Woodbury University and is the former Managing Director of the Julius Shulman Institute. Jo Lauria is an independent curator and a former decorative arts curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. See the exhibit then explore DTLA on your own.
