to experience architecture? What better way to feed your Modernist appetite
than to visit the Kelton Apartments (Richard J. Neutra, 1942) Join us for a
very special afternoon as we spend time in this delightful Westwood apartment
building.
Described by author Thomas Hines as
“modest but fetching,” the Kelton Apartments were designed by Neutra as a
rental investment for himself and his extended family. Neutra’s in-laws, the
Niedermans, moved from the nearby Strathmore Apartments (Neutra, 1937) and
lived out their days at Kelton.
Special guests are being planned for
this event. This informal salon will include refreshments and the opportunity
to relax in the space. Capacity is limited for this program.
